    • Why thank you so much. You humble me with your gracious nomination. I sometimes feel so unworthy surrounded by such talented people. But then again, there must be people who appreciate talent, even if they themselves don’t find that level of talent&blessing inside. After all, I guess if there weren’t more readers than artists, how would all this beauty be shared.

Dank u zo veel, Patty, je bent een juweeltje. ))))))))))))))))

      • But I think that’s wonderful that you are a ‘reblogger’! It shows you care to share things you find interesting! I am really happy to have found your blog as I said! *grin* And George, when the inspiration finds you, I’m sure you’ll give us a word or two. Please stop by The Chicago Files anytime! Cher xo

    • Oh wow, talk about excitement. Loud voices telling everyone in our home, Come, come, listen, Pretty Lady is talking to us. Listen, listen.
My Grands may not understand the words yet, but they know excitement and happiness when their older cousins are around. They know what listen means, they sit near the speakers and concentrate until you finished and Girlies start dancing all over the place.
Words cannot express my thanks for this ever so precious gift for them. More valuable than gold, their happiness and joy. Huggss from us all, and little giggling kisses accompany our heartfelt thanks.

  1. Hello (busy) georgeforfun, thanks for spending time on my site, the follow, likes and the re-blogs, which are much appreciated! I’m so glad that you liked my posts enough to share with others. 🙂

    • My pleasure to read and share. I must stay “busy” to remain sane, due to a hitch in my mobility, recovering from joint surgeries)))))))) I was entertained and intrigued, and feel others out there would be likewise.

      • Joint surgeries sounds awfully painful. Glad to hear you are on the mend and keeping busy. Your profile was brief, but I got the impression from reading some of the comments you do more reading and sharing that writing. You know, writing is a healing balm, so I hope you find inspiration to write and expedite your recovery. Until then, feel free to absorb as many of my words that you need. 🙂

      • Pardon the delay in answering, it wasn’t due to obligations or distractions, but a finger than just kept hitting outside the box and removing my often attempted replies. Seniority isn’t always a virtue or advantage on the phone, so moved over to bigger keyboard laptop. Will enter and copy and paste into little box on the WP app. Maybe I will get it done this time.
Indeed, profile is sparse. I’m not a real writer of any talent, although some Friends would disagree with my self assessment. I’ll stick with humble instead of narcissist. I use writing now where I used singing and playing music in the past. I took my voice for granted apparently and I lost it, but have accepted it just like I have not having good joints. At least I can get joints repaired, voice is gone forever and will never return, bar a miracle.
In past lives I did many many things for my adopted government, still on contract to provide on-call services as needed. Dad was American, I have dual citizenship German/American. I “speak” a few languages, fluent in most of them, can read and write, too. I’m a widower, twice and have a big family who have survived with me, 6 Sisters, 7 Kids, 8 Grandkids and a special SisterInLaw and her children, 2yr old Twin Nieces and adopted 8 yr old Nephew from Haiti. Feel free to ask anything. TY for your sweet words. I have been entertained and intrigued with your writing, so unless you quit or I die, you’re probably StuckALikeGlue. )))))))))))))))) yay it worked

  2. Hello George, glad you stumbled upon my crazy little blog. Another great writer I can steel some knowledge from, plus I see you read and viceversa the same people I do, like Kelly here and the other post´s of poetry( very well written by the way) from the blog High in the woods. Seems we have similar likes in our viewing of blogs in wordpress. So if you don´t mind I´ll be dropping by once in a while to do what I have coined “do my cool stalker moves”

    • Please feel welcome to stop by anytime. I am more of a reader&reblogger than a writer by any stretch of the imagination. I share if I like what I read, that way others have a chance to see new people they might not normally find on their own blogs. I also share on my Twitter&Tumblr blogs. Keeps me off the streets and out of trouble, most times. Unless the infrequent Troll or Catfish crosses my screens, then it’s time to play, previous life experiences come in handy when that happens. Most have learned to play nice or stay away, thankfully, the smarter ones))))))))))))))))))))))

    • TY, glad I can be a small help in sharing your talent with others.
TY for such kind words, much appreciated. Wisdom is learning from millions of mistakes and hopefully not repeating them over and over.
That was my beard before I washed out the coloring project from my Nieces, indeed, fun was had by all. I guess I need to update it a bit.
      Wishing you a wonderful weekend.

  7. Hello Georgeforfun,
I was quite shocked, but greatly flattered that you had reblogged my posts so many times and liked quite a few of them! I’m glad you enjoyed reading them, enough to share them on your blog! You’re my first re-blogger!

      • You are very welcome. I’ve got 2 years of posts planned, so there is lots more on the way… While both sides of my family are from Germany, I think they just liked my name. While I was married to my ex, we lived in Bad Kissingen. My husband was in the Army, and he was stationed in Schweinfurt. I love Germany, and hope to venture back with the kiddos one of these days. What town are you from?

      • I do believe you’re following me around George. I was born in Florida, had my stint in Germany, and am now in Tennessee. I bet it was beautiful in Bitburg and in Dueren! Never ventured out that way. Glad you are loving it in the Tennessee boonies!

  9. I feel like you were in my home visiting ( reading) for enough time that I should have cooked you a meal and offered you a drink. Thank you for visiting. I hope you enjoyed your stay and I hope you are healed and as mobile as you want to be. xo, Jayne

    • Hi, Jayne, I am just glad that I discovered you while visiting another follower’s blog. I’m pretty simple, I enjoy many genres of art, I have a very diverse taste in all types of poetry, prose and visual arts. I’m older than most and appreciate talent which strikes my eyes or ears. I no longer have a real voice, but my fingers let me have my say as often as I wish. I loved my visit into the depths of your blog, next time, I’ll need to ensure I have an extra Bib ( or an old shirt) in reserve. Thank you for sharing so openly.

      • I’ve learned Bibs are easier to maintain than buying new shirts or worrying about clothing mishaps while enjoying good reads or viewing other artistic items. I have a pretty good sized Clan, which includes Twin Nieces(3) 2 sets of Twin Grands (2) and Bibs are all over the place, just part of life here in TN. Like Grandpa’s beard, storer of memories. I’m not what I would consider a writer, more of a story teller, very short stories or humorous escapades from years gone by. I read and reblog more than anything, and I do the same on my Twitter and Tumblr accounts. I feel like old AT&T commercials, “Reach out and touch” or “Let my Fingers do the talking”,
or was that my old pickup line when I was younger and single. hmmmmmmmmmmmm sometimes Senioritis kicks in and I conveniently forget.

    • Oh by the way, I’m simply George or Georgie as some of the younger followers choose to call me. As long as it’s not collect or late for a meal, heck, call me anything you wish.
I’m not real sensitive about small stuff anymore, Life’s too short to worry about what’s not important or what I can’t change. I’m like PeterPan, still resisting adulthood after alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll these years.

    • dear Jennifer, you humble me, Milady. TY so much for your kindness. It may take me a bit to answer all those questions, I don’t do long projects on my phone, You know my little wide fingers and small keyboards aren’t exactly compatible. 👀 ♥ * ͜ * ♥ 👀
Plus the correction tape sticks ever so badly to my little screen. As soon as I can get to my laptop, I will do my best to accept your generous award.
thank you again so very much.
