Shame

Amuse my naked skin,
Crawl upon my lips,
Button hook,
And candy cigarettes,
Heavy air and clouded scent,
Ebbed in the mirror, our silhouettes,
Come boy,
Here girl,
Shake our shame,
I’ll call your name,
A birdcage in the hours,
After noon,
Cooped,
In wakefulness and strange steps,
Intune,
Cinders spun, and grave hearts bled a bounty of baroque,
Amity and Jane, empresses of grunge,
By the neck,
Sip the cauldron black, let it all come undone,
Release the shame.
